Welcome to the 'Know The Zone' page. A campaign I started to make our school
zones safer for everyone. Join me as I blog my entire experience of the democratic

School zones are unsafe. People, kids and parents get hit in school zones every year. I work in a school zone every day crossing students. I've probably seen everything. Now in my fifth year, I've been on car hoods, I've had to jump out of the way of speeding cars, I've even had to grab parents and kids out of the way as they've crossed to avoid being hit. As a safety patrol officer, our job is dangerous, but needed to keep our kids safe. That's why myself and others around the country and the world do this each day... to ensure the safety of the kids!
What I am campaigning for is simple. The proposal, ideas, and even a little information about me is posted on my blog. And, since I'm using this as a learning tool for my son and myself as well, all posts are kid friendly to read. A few teachers have already asked me about using this blog in class as a learning tool. Please do! That's exactly what it is meant for!
